A native of Pittsburgh, Rachel Carson was a marine biologist, writer and conservationist. Her book "Silent Spring" along with other writings, are credited with advancing the global environmental movement. This presentation by Chris Kubiak, will offer wonderful insight into the life's work of Rachel Carson. Chris is the Director of Education at the Audubon of Western Pennsylvania and a fellow native Pittsburgher. He's been an outdoor enthusiast for the last 25 years and is always amazed by the rich biological heritage of Pennsylvania. Lecture and Power point presentation.
