Chris Kubiak, Educational Director of the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania has an academic interest in climate change and its impact on humans and our ecosystem. This program takes a look at how the Columbian Exchange connected the new and old worlds with the transmission of ideas, plants, animals and diseases after Columbus's journey in 1492. Two worlds that have evolved apart with very different organisms and how they started to become homogenous will be discussed.
